Does anyone have any opinions on what an original condition 1 louvre car would bring in todays market?

IMHO...$1.5m conservatively to $2.5m...at least that's what I would pay in this market right now. Some would say about $500k higher. But, with that being said, I WAS in the market but am now on the sidelines.....waiting patiently....

Just got back from Florida. What a wonderful weekend.

I would pay $1.75M to $1.95M for a single louvre, covered head-light, matching number, no stories, no excuse example.

I am assuming this thread was started as a result of the sale of such a nice car over the weekend. That car had some significant history which was offset by the need for some well overdue reconditioning. A premium however was paid because it had not been offered for sale for so long and because of the significant history.

It will be up to the former and new owner to add details and hopefully some photos. I was not involved in the sale myself.

    Cheers,

    Bill

Actually it wasn't in regards to the car that sold but thanks for the input. I was hoping you'd chime in since i'm sure you know firsthand what the market is for these cars right now

What was the chassis # of the car at Cavallino this weekend? I think i'm confusing myself over which car i'm thinking of and i don't have my database handy. Was the car at Cavallino this weekend the one that was rolled a few years back?

Any info on the car? What was everyone's observations? What did it end up selling for? Bill, you said its up to the owner to add details and photos. Is he on here?

The car that sold this past weekend was not at Cavallino or the auctions the previous weekend.

The family put the car in play awhile back privately. Our company was not involved. I provided only insurance evaluation assistance. The car was expensive but at the same time fairly priced all things being considered. I do not know if either seller or buyer are involved with this site. I am not allowed to post photos or details of the car. I am hoping the new owner will get involved. I have provided him with details of this site and several other reference sources that may assist him with research and the restoration of the car.

    Cheers,

    Bill

    Hi Chris,

Not publicly, at least not yet. I am fairly sure others will be less discrete and the car will be open for discussion in short order.

If you have a moment, send me a private note at [email protected]

I have a semi frequent update letter that goes out every few weeks that discusses what might be coming and going as well as what we have and where we can be seen with our machines.

    Cheers,

    Bill
