    Looking for a 250GT TDF, any condition would be considered. From a basket case, driver to show car. Have been activily searching for nearily a year with mixed results. Any leads would be appreciated.

    Hi Norbert,

    Just for your info, 2 years ago I was in the same queste and visited 0899 GT (TdF) in south of France, and besides not really a no story car also quite a wrong nose (in fact the whole body was new and obviously not a good example used as a reference). The story that comes with the car (chassis used) could be right though.....(although it was pretty molested).

    Could be a nice project, but you need a new body, and you always end up with a story car.

    Check out 0925 GT, the ex-Harrah car, which is available from RM at their Monaco auction 1st of May. One of the very best TDFs, very original, super low mileage, few owners, unmolested. The only thing missing is the racing history. Otherwise a fantastic car.

    We are very much considering #0925 and seems to be a great TDF. We are looking to see what becomes availible between now and the auction in Monaco. Really don't have very much time but you never know what materializes. Trying to get the best we can but not scarred of a restoration project. Hopefully we can find something good in the states. Appreciate everybodies advise and assistance!

    I've seen some publicity shots of this car. Just stunning. With a history like that (albeit no racing history), surely it's going to be a great buy for the lucky so-and-so that was the last to shout before the hammer fell.... Very interested to see what she'll fetch.

    did the auction house set a price range or estimate? are these cars now in the $3-5 million area?

    2-2.5 million euros is the pre auction estimate, no idea whether or not this is a good or bad estimate though.

    It seems that there are not likely to be many of these available at any point in time. Why would you not consider 0925 within the next two weeks, especially if you don't have "very much time"?

    Or are you really looking more for a project than one that is in great shape right now?

    I predict the RM car will bring $3.5-$3.8M. Wasn't there a red TDF for sale about 6 months ago on Ebay. I think a California owner, wanting around $5M for the car.
