Thanks for your reply. Ive seen that one. The owner must love seeing his beloved getting disembowled like that. Stunning pic of empty shell though.

There are only about 4 in the UK it could be. Maybe Nick Mason's Pink Floyd comeback is paying off. The photo's are stunning the best is the stripped shell with no engine. Kind of reminds you of a skull !?!! Weird huh.

Read the thread in the vintage section you'll find out who the owner is........I'll give you a clue it isnt Pilkington or Mason

Hopefully Kev from Mototechnique will stick around and post more of the details.

Thanks for that. Mr Pilkington sells "his motor" to Mr Laidlaw. Sounds like a fairly normal deal until you find out whats involved. That deal must have been kept quite, don't remember seeing it anywhere. GTO's hardly swap hands everyday. Kev as you say will be a handy link. And Irvine Laidlaw is......???

Irvine Laidlaw recently bought a house just up the road - I do hope he keeps the car here and uses it to pop down to the local on a Sunday lunchtime - I'll tap him up & ask him for a go in it.
