Thanks for sharing the progress. I'm enjoying watching so much it feels like I should chip in with the expenses!
Its simply beautiful, congratulations! Absolutely gorgeous colour, wishing you health and happiness to enjoy it. cheers Mark
Wow, that color looks even better than I would have thought and it looks like it still needs to be polished. Breathtaking. This may end up being the best looking 275GTB out there.
I have to agree, this colour looks simply perfect on your car, it´s like if it was invented just for it, amazing!!! A fellow f-chatter restored and painted his 275 gtb/4 in some sort of grey and it looked wondefull also, but i belive this colour works even better.
Thank you everybody for the compliments which I will gladly pass on to the paintshop. Yes the car does now need to be polished which takes a few days apparently. I will post photos after the polishing is finished.....
Here are a few pictures post polishing. On Monday the car is finished in terms of being repainted. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you. I actually will not be taking it to any event this year, I will enjoy it and drive it. Due to my bad planning the interior can first be done later this year. Next year though, Villa d'este here I come! Also perhaps Tour Auto? I will answer your private Email this weekend.....Speaking of which, I wish you a fantastic one! E
Being enjoyed and driven are what these cars were made for, so it's nice to see yours will be fulfilling its purpose. I asked about the events because I'm thinking of attending the Goodwood revival this year, as my plans to make it to Monterey Car Week in August seem to be falling apart. I was hoping perhaps you'd take it there, but I'm sure there will be plenty of chances in the future. Tour Auto is another one I want to check out, soon. My French needs a little polishing... As for the e-mail I'm not quite sure what you mean, perhaps you're talking about my last one a while ago about the auctions? In any case I just wanted to check in case you're mixing things up... A great weekend to you too! Mario
Great looking car, even better after polishing. Must make waiting even more difficult I've been following the Tour Auto for some years now and I still love the event! Gr. Martin
Fantastic event, possibly the best long distance road driving event. Will do my 7 th in a row this year!
Monday at scrutineering at Grand Palais. Even better Tuesday morning early departure via the side entry of Grand Palais on the embankment , starting 7am. All cars will go out and drive on towards Dampierre where the official start will take place.
Here are the latest pictures. For some strange reason I find the color with the wheels on not as nice as the color above when the wheels were not mounted. Is it me or the color is not exactly the same? I asked the paintshop and he said exactly the same but changes in light can make a difference.... I have a solution - let me test her for a few weeks time and I will check how the color looks in various conditions on the Cote de Azur, along the Spanish coast and Morocco. I promise to give her back in one piece. The car looks absolutely stunning - nothing wrong here. It is always a bit different to see a car before and after assembly after a paint job, but do not worry. It is perfect.
