I'm looking at this car next week and it appears to be in nice shape, but a tad overpriced. Does anyone have any info? Anything would be appreciated.
Sorry Alex this is all I can find http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/Detail/10417.275GTB4.htm
Thanks Ty. I guess we now know the car was once in Nebraska. I'm going to see it next week and I've got the pre-eminent 275 expert in the AZ FCA chapter digging up all the info he can find.
Lighten up mate, just having a laugh. I had heard that you yankies had no sense of humour ... now I have proof . BTW: Have a look at this post: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12272 Pete EDIT: What is a '250 GT Zagato' that you refer to in your profile as a wanted car. Not familiar with that model, is it a one off? Remember nobody knows who you are on the internet, and even if your profile indicated that you were Michael Shumacher ... I would not believe it. If you read the thread I posted you will see that I was just having a harmless laugh
What do you think about this car Alex? http://www.ferraris-online.com/cars/FE-275GTB4-09909/main.shtml
I like this one and it's almost identical spec wise as the one I posted about originally. It has less miles but Mr Sheehan is asking for about $100,000 too much, in my estimation. I like the color and I think 275's look great in bright colors like yellow and red. Darker colors like Swatters Blue tend to obscure the car's beautiful lines, especially the the rear three quarter view. Sheehan also has a very special "competizione" version of a 275 for which he wants close to a million bucks!. If money was really no object, that would be the one I'd want.
The Zagato is a one-off curently owned by Rob Walton of WalMart and it is a beautiful car. It is stored in Arizona and shown every once in a while at an Arizona FCA concours event.
Not a one-off, however. Five of these cars were built: 0515GT, 0537GT (the Walton car), 0665GT, 0689GT, and 1367GT.
Now that is beautiful ... every now and then Zagato got it just so right, the other 200 models inbetween were horrible though Alex, Good luck with that goal! Pete

Gerald, as usual a veritable lava flow of information. Thank you very much. I'm headed to LA on Wednesday to look at it.
Wayne do you know if there is one in the Bay Area. I saw a car that was very similar to that one (damn I should have taken a pic) outside the restaurant my wife and I were eating in at in Walnut Creek. The front - I am certain looked the same. It was a dark silver color. (night time)
The only one of the five that is painted this color (that I know of) is 0537GT and, as Alex has pointed out, it is kept in Arizona. Possibly it was something else? The 250 Boano/Ellena models have a similar front end design.
Thanks - it may have been the Boano - I am no expert having never seen one before. Whatever it was, it was pristine and had a very similar - if not identical front end. It had white/cream seats with piping.
