Did late 275 GTS have Borrani RW 4039 72 spoke wheels as 08653 has? Earlier ones had 60 spoke RW 3874 wheels. Pic of 08653 from the Ferrari.com article from which we also learn that the second prototype 250 GTO (3387GT) has a larger fuel tank. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Steve: How do you know 8653 has RW4039 wheels on it now? To my knowledge, no 275 GTS was built with 7" wheels in either alloy or wire.
What a great thread! Thank you all for a great read! Boy am I glad I've got a 330GT - came from the factory with 4 liters and it isn't sexy enough for intrigue :^) Regards to all, Art S.
In the mid 2000's 07845 was in Melbourne, Australia, painted black, serviced by Sandro Terzini, then sold to UK.
Thank you. The question is whether 07845 had 3, or ever had 6 carbs, and if it did have 6 carbs, who installed them and when?
While 07845 was owned in 2004 by Michael K. in Melbourne it was first deep blue (not black) and he then had it restored and repainted red and retrimmed with tan leather. Prior to that it had been advertised for sale by PA based dealer Eddie Karam who described it as 6 carb, see FML Volume 24 Number 16 of August 1999. Here's a pic I took in Moroso/FL January 1999 (with fake Italian plates that do not belong to this car). Dark blue with grey seats and RHD. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
The plot thickens....I was just able to find out the correct information. The serial number to the car is 07035. The story is that it is listed as a 275 GTS, however it was bodied as a 330. Marcel thoughts?? What can you tell us about this car? I checked the 275 GTS archives and 07035 is listed as a '65 with the first possible owner as Gosce, I
