Here a few pictures of my first chop job: I found a second 275 on ebay and therefore was willing to cut one open and turn it into a NART spider. This is my first spider conversion btw.

Since I modified the 275 quite a bit before the chop job (see a previous thread on here), the two cars look different anyway.

The problem with the 275 is, that its trunk section is steeper sloped than on the real NART spider, so I had to hide that a bit with the roof boot.

One of the good things about this mod is, that now the interior shows off nicer. I modified that as well from its standard black by Ertl.

    Like it?

Thanks man, I thought nobody cared.

Anyway, I used a credit card pocket. One of those vinyl plastic things that hold/protect your credit card. First I made a paper cutout to fit the space, then I transferred it to the vinyl. Still isn't perfect, but I learned a few lessons and I'm certain my next one will be better.

Nice one Andreas - well done!

Now, where is that F40 LM Transkit? Did I miss it?

    Good memory.

Actually only a few months after I found it on ebay I actually received it at home (which wasn't the seller's fault btw). Now it is being parted out for two projects: I'm working on customizing an already customized F40LM into a more accurate one and the rest of the parts are being used to replicate the one and only F40 Spider in existence.

These projects are slow going as matching existing paint is the biggest issue. But when completed, they should be quite good. Stay tuned.

It was technically not really that hard. Just use a Dremel tool with a cut off blade. It was a LOT easier than cutting off the rear wing of the F50 to turn it into a GT. The F50 wing is so damned thick steel.
