What do you think of this car? Is the price right?

It looks a little rough. Engine bay does not look perfect, (delco battery?)

Who did the conversion? Were a lot of these converted?

    Best,

    Rob

Well, realistically, the price doesn't matter since I'm not even close.

The real ones are $4 million or something - FML shows 275 GTB's, all variations asking price index of $224,300. So their asking price is in between but certainly who did the conversion and the quality is going to come in to it. I'm not really an expert on these cars at all - was actually window shopping for a vintage rally car and saw this, and being a blue convertible guy and all....

I take your point on the Delco battery - didn't really look that close. Although I guess since the top has been cut off this car already, an original battery is the least of its problems from a concours standpoint!!

    Cheers
    Kevin

It's styled after this one. The real deal.

Luigi Chinetti ordered the spyders for his North American Racing Team (NART). 10 were made.

Its doppelganger is a recent Pebble Beach alum.

Nice pix zjpj - I like the interior on the real deal car better than the tan.

A cut car is usually considered equal in value or maybe a little less than the donor coupe.

You won't see the replica car at Pebble, or many other "high tone" events, that would turn their nose at the "imposter".

You'd have to think hard about that at this level of $$$.

Serial number 10691 I believe. Restored to original color combo by Juniors House Of Color in California. Nice paint job. Sold at auction a few years ago for a little over $2 million. Wonder what it's worth now?
    Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I rather have a real 330 conv't than a 275 chop top. I do not like the idea of chopping the top off a car as beautiful and importnat as a 275 coupe

zjpj: in the fine pictures here (1996?) of the NART car there are a couple of views of a Ferrari 410 SUPERAMERICA. Did you also photograph the interesting lines of this other Ferrari? It's s/n 0671 SA orig. by Scaglietti in August 1957 for Dr. Wax.
More views of this one off SUPERAMERICA (BEST OF CLASS) would be most appreciated; on it's own thread if necessary! Thank you.

Do you guys think that this chopped 275 would hold its value?

Would you really rather a stock 330gts?

What's the right price for this car?

What 275 expert would you engage to review the car for you?

    Regarding #0671 SA:

Can anyone identify the color? I'm trying to decide on a new color for my car and if I were to repaint it red this is very close to what I would like to do.

    Thanks.

Thank you very much for sharing the pictures of this amazing Ferrari. It is certainly unique and exists in part due to the support of Mr. Ferrari and the former Scaglietti workers who returned to recreate this SUPERAMERICA. More than two years were necessary to return this Ferrari to it's former glory.

Is this not the Superamerica that was stolen and dumped in a river in Italy at one time? I believe this is the car I helped prep for a show years ago, it was owned by Greg Garrison at the time.
