Gentlemen, what paint color would the brake calipers be from the factory on a 1967 275 GTB/4 cam?? I was told here earlier that they should be silver cadmium plated. (Thank you to those who responded!!!) The wheels are off now and the brake piston housings are "Dunlop" brand. The fronts are silver cadmium, but the rear housings are gold colored. I'm standing here scratching the bald spot on the back of my head wondering what to do next. Any chance these mismatched colors are factory correct? Or should they be silver front and rear, or gold front and rear??? The car has a Bonaldi master cylinder if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
This is 10899, it won best 12 cylinder this year at the Cavallino Classic. Front and rear both silver. I also have pre restoration pictures if you need them Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Forgot to say on the back side you can see the electric Fispapump tubing thats correct ,no paint pure non oxidation material ! not painted like the tubing from caliptor to calipter 97 points i think Good for the owner only this small part of the car is visible. Otherwise must probebly give back his price well those old judges must have trouble to come up ,if they go on there knees Cornelis

THAT IS CAD ! I know because I restored that car It's a little bit bright at first but it oxidizes quickly But again I'm sure your car is much better ciao
Dontbe upset Sir i am not at all interested in 100% concours cars, i HATE them no admosfere .PATINA is the real word i know these details because i DRIVE those cars since my student time about 20 years i have those parts unrestored in mine spare stock these we never put on a car i will try to send tommorrow, if i manage , a few fotos of these untreated unrestaurated parts never to old to learn ciao Cornelis
Cornelis: Someone asked a simple question about calipers. Another person ( a professional restorer),took the time to post photos of what a proper restoration should look like. Why would you attack him? You do not seem to be interested in restoration anyway. Your post offers nothing positive to the forum. Posts like yours are what keep quality people from contributing. Just so you know, this blue car in the photos was restored by the most respected people in the vintage Ferrari world. The car is correct in every way.
Trying to send some foto for Mr Ottis. the back side silverplated cat 1,75 . but in the front a kind of shining messing 2,25 difficult to see on the iphotos hope This helps look at the bleeding screws a kind of bordeaux .these parts are about 15 years in my stock, i use daily my drummbrakes tubing ligh oxidation witch is normal after those years little bit of pitting normal steel see magneto hanging but NO cad tomorrow fotos of the org bolts on 250gt a disc brake car .i must take of a wheel off and make them clean with high pessure to schow something ciao cornelis. Well i have noting agains this Question, but my stomach acid is allway come high when i see those overrestaurated cars. the ex- car 250 gto of Pilkinton was sold and compleetly over restaurated in ENGLAND not in the US i did love this USED car So there are also europeen persons IMO without taste or culture. well this is my porsenal opinion . there are coming times that the car with great patina will reach the highest prices but there are not many left THATS the point. CIAO Cornelis
Fpayntr, (sorry about the troll) Thank You very much for taking time to post pictures of your beautiful car. They were extremely helpful to me today. I printed them to keep for future reference. If you could, I would be very appreciative to see other pictures of your Ferrari, both before and after restoration. Very fascinating. Fpayntr, Thanks again for your much needed and much appreciated help. There are some terrific people on here.

I'm not sure I'm getting the point here. The calipers are obviously not painted, note the black bolt holding the pads. Is it possible that silver Cad as done in California is somewhat brighter and shinier than old, shelf worn cad from GB? I don't see any paint on the calipers or anywhere else. Morris
Thanks. The eight nuts holing the hub... are these also zinc phosphate or are they black oxide? I am currently dealing with the suspension rebuild and do appreciate this thread. john
