    I could be wrong but I'm sure I have seen this engine before in Paris. The number rings a bell and the pictures are as I remember it then.......In about 1996 I purchased a 250 Lusso (4411) from two brothers, Andre & Clemente Setbon. I was taken to their storage facility, a run down warehouse in the east of Paris to see the car. They had many cars in poor condition but I distinctly remember trying to buy this engine along with a parted out 250 GTE and a Bizzarini shod with Daytona wheels......Sadly we only agreed on the price of the Lusso.....I forget what I bid but I'm sure it was a fraction of the present asking price. If I am right it would be interesting to know how this engine has travelled from France to the UAE in the past 18 years.

    The engine has been offered for sale in FML for a VERY long time. The actual car # 7485 was restored during 2013-2014 with a 6 carb motor, no idea what number. The restorer didn't think it was worth paying $30k plus to have matching numbers. On reflection I guess he made a mistake !!
