    Can you buy a good quality, matching number, but not concourse, GTB short nose 3 carb for under $2MM. Use to own one. Lost it in a divorce years ago but getting interested again now that I am getting close to retirement.

    Curious more than anything.

    Not trying to prove anything just a legit question - searching the auction sites and FML leaves a lot of questions on quality.

    You can buy a DIY car for 1.8 M $ but then you will have to invest at least another 500 Grand until it's finally on its wheels. And by that time you will be 3 years older.

    and 3 years only when he will be lucky. but also 3 years without driving and having trouble for more and more things what the cars will need

    Ok - thanks very much. One of the reasons I asked was that the FML shows the average asking price for 275GTBs at just under $2MM and the auction results site listed below had several below $2MM. But my gut feel was what you good folks said that its going to take more to get a nice one.
