What can one expect in terms of possible issues stuff breaking from 27-50k miles? I know we can’t predict, but does anyone have any info of what could break and cost?

    Thanks

First of make sure the car was well maintained with annual service records etc. Also, get a PPI done thru a ferrari dealer, second make sure that all recalls were taken care of esp the airbag issues, third are the brakes what's the condition and if it feels like 'wood' when braking hard and how much life is remaining on the calipers as track cars usually gets a good beating, forth check battery what is the condition and if an aftermarket battery was placed and what brand. Usually cars driven these many miles are better than cars not driven but if it was tracked periodically then that's a different story.

There are many more things to look out for but this is just a start - I'm sure others will have a deeper perspective for you what else to look out for. Good Luck!

This is the soundest advice you'll get based on what you're after.

Regarding your question: that's futurology, which means your guess is as good as mine. How long do things last? It's anyone's guess. Why do some people die aged 30, and why do some people live to witness their 90th anniversary? Why do people who smoke 30 years don't have respiratory diseases, and why people who never smoked are diagnosed with lung cancer?

Don't maintain a car, any car let alone a Ferrari, on a (tight) budget. And you'll be fine, solely focused on driving, enjoying and servicing the car.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

its about 3800 miles a year....if those miles have been put on regularly, it means the car hasn't sat around, which I think is a good thing. I would expect the car to be fine, subject to a ppi. I drive my f cars about 4-6 k a year, never had any issues.

Thanks guys. Just trying to budget. Started with looking for a Gallardo then wanted a newer LP Gallardo and now I went up another 50k to a 458. Lol - thanks for the advice.
