    Hi guys, I have a 280 SL it’s in fantastic shape except the engine compartment needs complete detailing which would include taking out the motor and transmission and painting the engine compartment, removing all the components and restoring them. Mechanically the car is perfect. Does anyone have an idea of what a job like that would cost?

    try dry icing with engine in.

    Needs plating and painting all the bits for a concourse look .
