Anyone remember the website www.288gto.com? They had a pretty sick GTO clone on there - anyone know who built it or where it went?

The car you posted photos of was owned by a guy I know here in Austin. He's also an Fchatter. Those photos were taken outside of his house. I thought Norwoods built the car. If I remember correctly it's now in Spain.

Looked great in person & I heard it was a beast!

I think my friend had that domain name when he owned the car but I think the company using it now is unaffiliated with the car my friend owned.

I THOUGHT THE CAR WAS MADE BY SHAWN AND NOT NORWOOD

Who is Shawn? Which car? The one in the photos or the one on the website? I don't believe they are the same cars, but I could be wrong.

BTW, turn the caps lock off. We can all read just fine.

Mike is right, the pictures are not the car on the site listed above but I did have a site with description - www.ferrarigto.com which is no longer active. It was twin turbo water to air intercooled with correct engine orientation, Motec, 5 speed and 509 RWHP (per Norwood's Dyno). Very interesting to drive at speed and expensive project as the labor for the conversion was very significant. The car went to Spain, I believe Norwood is the only one that made mold from the original 288... I tried to buy them several years ago but the owner but he was not interested...

That's correct. Bob Norwood had the molds made from a real 288 GTO panels. At least that's what he told me.

Captivating video and some serious man-hours on the chassis, and that's just for the deconstruction...
