Does anybody recognize the door handle that they used for the 288GTO's
interior door handel? I'm guessing Fiat of some sort... but purely a guess.
I'm building a set of the GTO door panels & would love to get the "correct"
door release... but am guessing the "correct" one from Ferrari will be $5,000.
    Fiat $10.50. ;o)

See Table #106, items 25 and 26, in the Carrozzeria Section of the GTO Spare Parts Catalogue (print #331/84). Part #61439900 (door handle inside) and 61439800 (moulding for handle).

Great info from one in the know! This would be the way to go for sure. I just thought the visual similarities were interesting!

I have this catalog which also shows that part. But I'm assuming that if I call to order them, they'll be $499 each... and, you wont be able to purchase them anymore. Even if you wanted to spend that kind of money. ;o) Seems so many other parts from 308's and 328's come from a fiat or other type of car... that it might be the way to actually find a nicely priced door handle. Just checking it out to see if I can find them, & for a nice price.

Here's a set of the door handle pulls we made for the panels. Right now I'm making a set of the flat panels. By next week should have them upholstered. Installing them in a GTO clone. Trying to make it look nice.

That look do-able. I'll call and check out the size of them. They do look amazingly similar.
There's ALOT fo parts made here in america for the 308's and 328's, I'm finding out. The
rear aluminum engine firewall on the interior of my 328 is stamped USA. I've a friend who bought a brand spanking new set of California rims from Alcoa here in the USA. The rims came to my shop, and were in Alcoa crating. It'd be funny if that Jeep handle is correct.
    THanks Eddy.

Motion Products of Neenah/WI (Wayne Obry) have a special department which produces sensational plastic parts (computerized). Really first class. Highly recommended.
PS: No, I am not on their payroll but have seen the facilities and the products several times, really state-of-the-art. Don't know about their prices.

It looks like a fiat x19 handle when I first saw it, it's a while since I have felt one so can't comment on the finish of the plastic. But it looks very similar if not the same. Try looking here.

Note : the car is UK registered from about 1985, when I looked on google images it showed earlier cars with solid bar handle like an old transit van so this plastic handle must be from the last few years of the x19.
