I had had a 5000S countach in mid 80's.But for sure I didn't switch to Lamborghini as my ride of choice with that purchase!

In early 04 drove the Gallardo was impressed compared to F cars
on the market then.Haven't regreted anything about Lamborghini
    since.

I think one reason I may never own a current production F car again
    is the arrogant dealer network.

Huh, I thought that this was supposed to be part of the experience? :)

In my case, it is a moot point cause the only Lambo that I fit in is the big one (I forget the name.) Because I got a late start, there are just too many Ferraris that I want to drive before I get that far down on the list.

To be certaIN everyone has their own "list". Lamborghini tops mine
Ferrari tops yours no big deal they are both only cars not idols to
worship and certainly not worth kissing anyones derrier to have the "privilege" to buy one!.

Wayne, you have owned some amazing cars over the years. I know I would have trouble parting with cars like those (especially the GT40), but I like how you essentially let others enjoy the car by reselling.

+1 on Bert's comment. How tall are you?! 6'8"?

Thanks Wayne, what a great picture.

You know for some of us on this forum who are deeply passionate about supercars, Ferraris, Lambos whatever and havnt as yet got the financial stability to purchase them, it gives us a great buzz to see all these amazing cars that you guys have or had previously.

    These old pics are amazing!

    Thanks

Trying and getting there slowly. Just waiting for one of the bigboys to hopefully snap up the business and take it to its full potential.

Out of all the cars you have experienced owning, what would you say has been the favourite?

You must have some fabulous memories of owning those supercars etc back in the day, you must have been king of the road. The pictures (dont take this badly) show some age and it makes them all the better. I would hope you have some of them framed.

    Regards,

    Matthew

I used the gt-40 as a commute car from Alamo ca to my business in oakland daily that was a kick..but probably it would be a toss up with Lola t-70 open car or the 427 SC Cobra woth DOHC engine (retro-fitted) some fond Ferrari memories but usually those cars didn't fill my need for speed.

sadly I have boxes of pictures loose.... no I haven't done the memories justice.

recd this email from my freind who originally sold me the car::

Wayne: Our car is the much more valuable CSX 3022, an SC Cobra. It was owned
by Ron McClure of Pasadena, who had McCluskey restore the car to original
specification with medium-riser 427, painted blue with white stripes. The
car has been in a number of magazines, like Automobile Quarterly vol 22,
number 3, and was the subject of a rather famous David Kimble cutaway
drawing which was made into a poster. In the late eighties, McClure had a
smash-up with a Cadillac, sued his insurance company, and, I am told,
recovered big bucks plus possession of the damaged car. Last owner, as of
about 10 years ago, was Drew Serb of Orinda, who had the car restored and
painted silver with thin stripes of red, white and blue. Original SC's in
restored condition, with original chassis, etc. have got to be worth in
vicinity of a million: there were only 54 coil spring Competition and SC
Cobras made. I think one is going to auction during Classic Car Race week.
    Later, buddy. --Patrick

Good Lord... and... Good Lord... :)

That car right there is a cleverly disguised rocketship in an AC Cobra body. I couldn't imagine a 427 SOHC motor in a 2200 lb car... especially 600+ at the tip of the throttle.

    That makes me scared :D

I owned 5 different original 427 Cobras and that Cammer was the only one that ran cool on the street. It had an 18 qt Aviad oil pan.
