I've been looking for the 2 for my US 308qv and cant find them anywhere,so I can imagine how difficult it will be for you. I was only able to find the euro versions,so I guess it would be a good idea with the companies who make the replica GTO's
Just a warning, if you were planning on putting them on a 308 you may want to reconsider. I have driven many 288's since they were new and always found the side view mirrors the only annoying thing about the car. They were designed to be high enough to see over the larger rear fenders but for me anyway, they are right at eye level and block a substantial portion of the view to both front corners of the car while driving. So much so that I find myself bobbing my head around to see while driving, especially while in traffic.
No, I'm looking for the stock 308 mirrors.Just re-read my post, yeah it looks like I wanted the 288 style, my mistake.
I made GTO mirrors myself: http://home.tiscali.nl/308gto/124.jpg.htm (keep clicking "next") But after all the work, paying 700 dollars for glass replica mirrors seems to make more sense. Mine are metal and hinged, like the real ones. More info and sources for the mirrors can be found in the "building a gto" thread in the showroomsection.
Thanks Andrew, I'll try Ferrari UK again. The last time I tried them they only had the Euro mirrors in stock.
If I may diverge slightly, What are the choices for relatively "stock" right and left mirrors?? I have a 77 GTB and I would like to install a right side mirror. The left one is relatively small and I would like to get a pair to upgrade the car. Any suggestions Mired in ignorance, yet again, chris.
