288GTO - pics from Geneva debut?

There were actually two of the 288 GTO models at the Geneva show in March 1984. The GTO on the Pininfarina stand had red cloth on the seats and dash trim. Also the 'lump' on the rear deck. Strange looking Goodyear tires; with the name Goodyear upside down from what it normally looks like. A different GTO was on the Ferrari stand.

Disagree.
On the official Ferrari stand was S/N 50255 which had a black interior with red stripes. The car on the Pininfarina stand was S/N 50253 and it had an all black interior. I was there on Tuesday, 28th February 1984, the official press day of the Geneva motor show.

Suggest you visit the thread "Ferrari 288 GTO" where you will find the answer. At least one car, S/N 47711, had a nameplate "288 GTO" on the right side of the rear panel. In addition to that, S/N 50255 at Geneva 1984 had a tag on the steering column which said "288 GTO", not just "GTO".

Marcel is correct as the rear view of the GTO I was looking at was pictured on the Pininfarina stand which didn't show the interior. The GTO looks like it is on a silver reflective turntable that is even with the display area. The second picture a head on view of what I didn't realize was the Ferrari display car on a different stand that looks like a yellowish brown color. The Ferrari displayed GTO has the red inserts on the seats as can be seen in the head on view. Sorry for the confusion. I thought it was only one of the display cars (Pininfarina) photographed twice but it was really both GTO models photographed that were at Geneva on different displays.

The ID plate installed by Ferrari SpA on top of the steering column of every 288 GTO built says "288 GTO" as Marcel points out.
