Hi everyone, I ordered my 296 without any exterior carbon parts. I knew I would probably want to replace the cheap plastic parts with real carbon one day. When the car arrived, I really felt like this was the first thing I had to do to give the car the look it deserved. Maybe the car in a different color wouldn't look that bad without carbon, but my giallo triplo strato with black rims looked very cheap. I don't know if any of you made the same mistake and ordered your 296 with the plastic all around, but I can tell you the car looks so much better now after I installed the front lip, side skirts and diffuser in carbon. And it all cost less than 10k, which is seems like a great deal. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you Patrys for the post, and great looking Giallo GTB. The carbon fit and finish are fantastic. Who was your vendor, and approximate lead time?
They must have had the parts in stock, because I got the front lip, side skirts and diffuser in around 1 week. Drop me a private message and I’ll get you in touch with the sales rep I worked with. They have offices in Europe, US and Middle East.
They only had the front lip, side skirts and diffuser for the 296 when I asked. They may have carbon parts for other Ferrari models. Btw. My 296 carbons look OEM
How do the carbon side skirts and rear diffuser hold up? I had a carbon rear diffuser on my Scuderia and over time it got some stone chips. Hard to fix. Do you guys PPF all the lower carbon parts?
PPF all parts , leading edges at the back of the front wheel arch are double wrapped as are the front splitter and underside of the rear diffuser . All part of the standard pack from my PPF installer
I’m curious why the vendor name would be a closely held secret. I think most of us are familiar with the usual 3-4 sources for aftermarket carbon.
