    Hi,

    Finally saw the 296 at Ferrari Di Casa during Pebble Beach. Stunning. It's the perfect combination of classic and modern. It's the first car that has completely surprised me in terms of how much better it looks in person vs images and video. Not since ordering our Pista have we been more excited. We have the car configuration done. Of note, we are doing the back roof and Alcantara headliner. Having been blessed with many new Ferraris the only thing we ever regreted was chosing options for the next owner.

    Can't go wrong with that spec. Love the fact that you didn't go with yellow calipers too - so much better in black.

    the yellows don't match. there are 2-3 different shades of yellow going on...caliper, shield, and center cap. Once you notice it you can't not notice. For the last few new Ferraris were configured we have always selected black or blue calipers. This car, black. Matches the black roof. Price? they didn't know. Only a price range. If I were to guess, $400s. True story, we didn't know the price of our Pista until it arrived. Neither did the dealer.

    Lovely! Does anyone know how much it is to spec leather in lieu of alcantara for the lower dash and door trim?

    We switched to leather because we were concerned that the alcantara would collect sunscreen etc and quickly look bad.

    Leather is the standard finish in both these areas. If you want it in a contrasting color - say to match the chosen color of your seats - then it is option PIP7 for leather or option PIP8 for alcantara and both options are the same price: $2,531

    OP: I have the same concern

    Isuk: appreciate the insight. Its frustrating not being able to know (or perhaps understand) the option list / opaque pricing so I appreciate your input. Off hand what is the cost / option for interior the same color of seats. We are debating mix of black / Cuoio , or all Cuoio. All interiors would have red stitching with a Rosso Corsa exterior.

    Apologies for posting incorrect info in post #08 above. I've managed to get hold of the personalisation guide for the 296 GTS and the lower dash, door insert panels and seats all come in the same colour as standard. I was confusing the PIP7 and PIP8 options which are there if you want to have the lower dash and door inserts in a contrasting colour to your main chosen colour for your seats. I've ordered Race seats in Nero leather with Nero alcantara centres in my GTB but wanted the lower dash and door inserts in Rosso Ferrari leather so had to spec option PIP7.

    This schematic shows you the standard interior finishes. There are then other pages from the guide that show you the various areas that can be personalised along with their option codes. Your dealer should be able to give you a PDF copy of this guide.
