Well here in the USA it's normal, even in Italy the last 458 bought took 18 months, my 296 is already on the ship and I waited close to 1.5 years , configured in January 2022 arriving in 1/2 months...
I first indicated interest in December of 2022, and was told the order books were closed. I was then put on the "pre order wait list" in February of 2023 (no deposit but signed Buyers Order). In March 2024 I put a deposit down and did my configuration. I am hoping to get a 2025 car. So at least 3 years is my best guess at this point.
Most of the time the relation with your dealer make the difference , if it's a long-standing relationship you usually enter the loop of "it's just been presented ..... you must place an order ....... " and they are the first cars to arrive, sometimes in 2 years, sometimes less, my 812GTS I waited 2.5 years due to the tailor made process...... but 2 year is the average I can tell ...if you are a VIP even less then 2 years
Let me ask you , is this arrived before the delivery .......? once upon a time the car arrived first then the model, then no more model (at least on the 812gts I got the key box with a stylized car) now this????
I just received my 296 GTS a month ago, it arrived with 1/2 plastic-1/2 wood humidor which was sent to dealership 2 month prior to car's arrival. My SA kept in the office so it can be delivered with the car itself. I was told they are no longer giving the silver plated model but rather only the painted model which will come after delivery. I think what @jm2 rec'd was a dealer specific item not sent form FNA or factory.
I just got a canned email from Ferrari asking to configure my GTS - I am assuming its just an advertisement?
I initially chose that colour but my dealer steered me towards Grigio Titanio and no complaints - they both suit the car and think Titanio works well with my ciocollato interior
Titanio is beautiful and will look gorgeous against ciocollato!! I have the ciocollato in my 812 GTS and adore it, people go crazy when they see it, but I wanted to do something a little different so I decided on a subtle blue theme with Alloy on the outside with blue calipers and Carta di Zucherro racing seats inside with white contrast stitching, horsie, and center stripe. Hopefully it will turn out nice, but you never know if reality matches the vision till it gets to you. The only change from these renders is that I added the painted shields ... I just couldn't resist. So does everyone get a half plastic / half wood humidor with their car? I'm new to Ferrari so not even familiar with the models referenced herein....Please elaborate. McLaren didn't give me sh*t, LOL...for either car. I did get a really cool little Porsche emblem with my vin on it when I bought my first Porsche, but subsequent Porsches nada.
BTW, the description 1/2 plastic 1/2 wood humidor doesn't exactly give the impression that Xrayv* was jumping with excitement at the thing. LOL
That should look stunning… the renders don’t do that colour justice…. Am very happy with my Titanio and ciocollato combo… I kept calipers black/ discrete… re painted shields felt the size of the wing area where the shield fits was too narrow on the 296 for the larger painted shield… in hindsight I might have gone with no shields tbh Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This what came with my Portofino purchase. The CF humidor, silver plated model, and then the painted model to match your specced car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
With the 296 GTS you get this similar box but top half in plexiglass as I mentioned andpainted model to follow. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got the box above with the model which came about 6 months after the car arrived but the dealer also arranged a painting of the car with chassis no, my name etc on it and a nice box of Italian food products from Emilio Romagna - olive oil, balsamic, Parmesan etc :-D Image Unavailable, Please Login
