296 GTS production

I'm at 10R+VIN since last month and dealer tells me October delivery.

 

4 months for me from vin to delivery including Dec.

Recently 3 weeks from 10-30 and then about 3 weeks to release to the port. Then time on water and time at port (a few days to 6 weeks at port)

 

Been at 90 for almost three months.
Apparently there's a backlog somewhere and dealers are receiving almost no cars with hundreds of them stuck somewhere and they are not being told the reason. My dealer alone is pulling his hair out cause he has 30 cars stuck there. This is not the usual 90 purgatory, something different is going on and it started way before the recent hack.
Anyone have any clue what the deal is?

There's definitely something going on. The VE docked (2) weeks ago and no status updates just yet. I would imagine it would have cleared customs by now.

 

In classic Ferrari fashion after sitting in 90 for three months I just got word that it skipped straight to 93 and is on a truck to the dealer.

 

I received the 2nd picture yesterday and my dealer just called me that the car arrived

 

It's interesting how everyone has different experiences with this. If only the app/modis were consistent it would sure make things a bit easier.

 

Just wanted to update - as of 6/26/2024 status 30. Estimated delivery is December factoring in factory shutdown in August per my dealer.

 

Sounds right if you have not got a 3/4 layer paint , if you have that adds 3-4 weeks . The actual assembly is quite fast , at the factory no more than 10 days in reality .

How long did it take for you all to receive your cars after you had received the final picture from the factory?

I received the picture of my car at the very end of May. My dealer said that it shipped from Italy in June. No clue when I'll receive it (I'm in Los Angeles), but I assume sometime soon?

 

I received the final invoice (car is at dealer) and still didn't get the final picture !?!

 

When did you get the second picture?

 

I think I was between 9 and 10 months from VIN to delivery. Almost exactly 90 days last picture to dealer.

 

It seems to take an inordinate amount of time from VIN to delivery in the US. Outside the US even with 8 weeks transport it is less than 6

 

July 11th. No final picture yet but paid in full as car is here.

 

So strange, my dealer says that MODIS isn't working properly, so they don't know where the car is. Last I heard was that it shipped sometime in June. No clue where the car is now.

 

The dealer should be able to give you the vessel name and the date the vessel left , you can then see if it has arrived .

 

Just asked. They said MODIS is down for all of August.

 

There would not be any modis updates because of August shutdown

 

So if they did not have the vessel before hand I wonder if it left
