Isn't ferrari diluting the brand going with no limited numbers? Remainds me of the mclaren..

If it's priced at $100k above GTB starting MSRP I'd be verrrrry interested but probably not if it's much higher than that.

The quoted power of the motor is in full electric mode. I guess that with the ICE running and topping up the battery, there can be a more rapid discharge of the battery's energy, which does not happen in E-Mode as the battery alone cannot sustain the higher flow of energy.

100% - Considering 296 hybrid challenges being faced, this was shocking to hear.
It's a great car great design but I may step out - prefer my SF90AF Spider over VS.

multiple sources all claiming the same thing - just have to have bought one car through "official channels" within the 5 years (new or preowned)

Qualify doesn’t mean you will get one, 6&3 at my dealership is what they told me a week or so ago.

dealers enjoy making money and will sell as many cars as they can to as many people as they can, really just depends on the demand + actual production numbers

the pista wasn't as easy to get in terms of qualification, many were told to buy Lussos and took a huge hit on them as they bought solely to get a pista

It looks like Vorsteiner or Mansory took it upon themselves to make a "La296XX" - I didn’t expect it to be so “angular” around the lower edges. I wish the rear wing was a full wing all the way across like F40, those open-hanging winglets look awful to me. The louvre venting on the hood looks like they're in the wrong place, they should be on the arch of the fender like a real race car. It adds the one thing I detest about the LaFerrari: that faux floating aerofoil.

Now it's even more of a twisted mind-F because I was so excited about it for years, didn't get an offer, now I'm torn up about the looks and seeing this is the most 'modern' thing they could come up with is making me rethink my goals.

Everyone wants a car to be super limited when they are on the list to get it, until they aren’t on the list and they want one.

Same deal with the 992 3RS and others, everyone wants one but then when they get their allocation they complain that they are making so many. There has to be some sort of middle ground when you are not a VIP guaranteed a car. It can still be considered “limited” if it’s not numbered, guess it’s up to personal judgement after that what you consider limited. In the end, you can’t please everyone I guess. I don’t think there is a “wrong” decision for those who want to order one or those who want to wait and see. But there is a massive advantage to being able to spec your own exactly how you want it rather than trying to find a used one exactly how you would have ordered it.

regardless of how many they make, I believe the car will still be special.

Every Ferrari is special - 99.999% don't know the difference.
It's about the experience - dealers choice to sustain or burn bridges - we all know the game.
It takes years from debut to delivery - lot to be said walking in buying and driving out. One is no better than the other - just different

None of the v8 versione speciale were ever number-limited, unlike iconas and the v12 ones, am I right? Being a current customer allows you to get an allocation potentially, not a guarantee.

I don't think at Ferrari they're so dumb to turn this into a 296 v2 that anyone can get let's be serious.

the difference here is for some reason Ferrari have made a point in letting everyone know about the requirements officially being low to purchase one as well as it not being limited, something that every single press release has included and made note of

    hard not to be suspicious.

People may not qualify, but that does not mean that in the end they won't be able to spec their car... there are always two sides.

Don't be surprised that it is essentially a "body kit", most designers being busy on the cars to come, it was completed quite quickly. The big plus of the car is the front bonnet which gives roundness to the front fenders, now much more consistent with the curved rear wings of the 250LM type. Congratulations to all those who love, don't worry, they will eventually get it.
And on this last point, it's very good, we should be able to buy the cars we want.

Seeing these I'm actually thinking of selling the GTS and going back to Pista

I would have picked a different color to show on the spider. Couple shows more impressively, though spider will look amazing with the right spec. I see there’s still a clear engine cover for the spider, but I wonder what the options will be.
