It seems the gts spyder will be the main seller and less for gtb coupe, which is always strange to me as Id assume the more hardcore models are track oriented and having a convertible on track just seems wrong. I asked my dealer if these will be for top tier customers and they said they werent sure yet. Im going to assume they are though or you would have needed to buy a 296 prior.

Similar - bought 16M. If you truly don't fit with helmet ask for Spider VS.
I twisted my head with my hands to get in 360CH due to roll bar, a HANS or multi point belt offers more headroom by pulling you down / compacting your body.

I think where you cant simply draw on history is firstly the long term reliability (and desirability) of this first generation hybrid technology and secondly the overall volume of car produced vs historically. As much as I like your predictions I fear we are in uncharted territory here.

I dont think so. Some want to save money and only the Coupe. Some dont like convertible cars.

I also want a 12 Clindiri Spider. Was not possible, I understand. Get the Coupe and are now in the 12 Zylinder group. Dealer told me to wait one year and he will hit mit in the 12 Cilindri Spider group.

Agree and the coupe 12Ci is very cool - decided to wait for Spider which means keep 812GTS.
Receiving spiders is not easy - factory tends to build these last and closes production.
812 SF90 296 - the spiders took 30 - 42 months. The VS will be a tough allocation and on XX was impossible if you were not a top VIP.

Every CF piece on the exterior, including the wing and the carbanio package is transitional.

i agree but most 296 peers going forward will be hybrids (as was always predicted by the ecosystem of engine tech- gas to full electric was always absurd). in fac t most performance level products (and soon most regular products) will be hybrid. and so the depreciation trend will have to equilibrate itself the same way. i think the curves will be pretty much the same. i was dismayed to hear that no more manuals would be made a few yrs ago and now the next gen RS and AMG and M cars will all be at least plug in hybrids. no more 100% gas. the used car market therefore will gradually fill itself up with what is available.

So I need to make a decision, do I go with the Pilotti, or the GTS VS ?

I'm thinking there's little chance they will let me order both ...

I can confirm from other Challenge drivers, you can only get 1 so the rest of us pee-ons have a chance, LOL!

    If I had
If you already have a spider to drive when you want that feeling go Pilotti. If not, go GTS VS.

Have to decide between the open top and coupe. The driver in me says coupe, my wallet says spider. With the 12C, I prefer the coupe, so will be interesting if one is more functional and aesthetically pleasing than the other (other than weight).

I really like the 12C coupe as well. It has so much room behind the driver and the back glass opens like a hatch. The panoramic roof option offers clear or opaque settings. Meanwhile the spider is great. It just doesn't have any room behind the seats. I would prefer this car in a coupe if I had some sort of spider to drive when the conditions are perfect to do so. 95% of the time, hardtop preferred.

That's my case. GTB on sale as of today, picking up the GTS next week. Dealer highly recommended I hold on to an original purchase 296 until VS delivery just in case they pull the same XX requirements.

I got an update that you don't need a 296 to qualify. Any less than 5 years old F will do to get the VS coupe so they will produce for whoever wants them.

For VS spider, you need one less than 2 years old + 3 others in the stable.

June 2023 XX debut - my expeced delivery 2026 - 3 years later.
    Ferrari is sold til 2026.
VS best case 2027 2028 maybe 2029- two year production is typical -
Your dealer is going to get allocations for all qualified - Ferrari producing VS in 2030?
Fewer XX than VS - and XX is producing 1400 in 2 years.
    We will see -

This will definitely not make everyone happy. The value of a 296 will plummet in value and the 296 VS coupe will not be as valuable (might also drop in value) due it not being a somewhat limited car. I really do not think Ferrari will be moving forward with that everyone that wants a 296 VS (Coupe) will get one. Will destroy brand

Ferrari is no more low volume manufacturing, new cars are not investition but mechanical machines to make you happy by driving them :D

Well, it all depends on what you mean by investment. If it is only dollar and cents you may be correct. For me the investment in purchasing a Ferrari is not only the money part of it. It is also investing in purchasing that gives you a sense of accomplishment. i thoroughly enjoy when i pull up to the traffic lights and on the left side is a car with parents in the front and 2-3 kids in back smiling, staring and motioning me to step on gas . So i hit the pedal on my pre gpf superfast and kids just freak out and parents give me a thumbs up. While on my right side is an older gentlemen in a Mercedes coupe looking at me like i am a selfish idiot by making noise I enjoy my investment by pulling in a parking lot and do not see another Ferrari. I enjoy my investment by people smiling and taking pictures or asking me if they can take a picture with the car and then see their smiles get bigger. I enjoy my investment on a Sunday morning driving through country and feeling the never ending power and depends which car i take, the power and roar of the engine. If Ferrari does not keep a sense of occasion when someone sees one, the investment gets diminished in many ways not only monetary. Once again, they have a good thing going and I am not sure they will just give anyone a VS version of any model unless they have "earned" it in their eyes.

Ferrari did not grow overall production in 2024 , Hybrids outstripped ICE in the second half of the year

296 VS: for sure it won't be numbered. Looking at history these variants do hang around msrp. Time will tell.. Patience :)
