This year, my car was invited to participate in the Cobble Beach Concours. This is a first class concours happening each year in September. It's held in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. It attracts some fabulous cars. The organizers do a good job of getting a mix, from pre war full classics to exotics to muscle cars to concept cars. Something for everyone, and always something you haven't seen before.

The concept is similar to other such events. I staged my car on Saturday afternoon. Judging started Sunday at 9am. I was in the European Sports Cars Pre 1975 class.

There were 3 judges. Not all had specific Ferrari expertise, but at least one did. They listened to the story of the car, then spent about 15 minutes looking at it: fit and finish, examining the engine compartment, checking that all the lights worked and the car started. Trunks, tools, manuals, etc. were not checked. Nice people - it was low key and pleasant.

After winning the class, I rolled the car over the stage to another green with the other class winners. The judges then selected best in show. No one was surprised that it was the 1929 Cord Cabriolet that had just won its class at Pebble Beach and San Marino. The Jaguar SS Airline Saloon was pretty spectacular too.

A pro photographer at the event was kind enough to let me share his shots with the community...

He used two filters on them.,one being a vintage look for the age of the car and the other being a more vibrant/bright to bring out the black paint.
