I've driven them a few times and understand what people love about them. I think they have a place for commuting, especially if we actually bump up nuclear energy production. If there is an EV utopia we need more hydroelectric and nuclear.

My position is they make a great about-town vehicle but I would have a major paranoia about that as an only vehicle here in the desert southwest where they cannot get to LA, Phoenix or Salt Lake on one charge. So it's an ideal second, third (etc) car.
