    I have unbolted all bolts & brackets to remove my alternator (1988 Mondial 3.2) but cannot find a connection for detaching the wiring loom. I assume there is one "upstream", but I can't see it, nor does it appear on the Riccambi exploded diagram.
    Any ideas?

    I don't know about a Mondial, but on a 1986 328GTS there is no connector upstream. You have to take a cover off the back of the alternator and undo each wire. A connector sure would have been a good idea! -Steve
