Looking for a stablemate for my TR and decided on a Mondial Cab. My dilema is that I really like the 3.2 mondial better from a looks point of view (bumpers, slightly more refined dash, nicer wheels) and the 20 extra horses doesn't hurt either, yet I am finding it hard justifying the 10k premium for this car. It seems as thought the quatrovalve convt's can be had for the mid 20's while the 3.2's seem to be a mid 30's car. Is it worth the premium for the 3.2. Are they a better built car? Are they more maintanence friendly than the older model? Any help/ opinions would be appreciated from current owners.

The 3.2's are better built, just as there is a difference between the 308 QV and the 328, as well as a corresponding value "bump." <grin> There are very few maintenance requirement differences between the two. I had a 3 liter QV coupe for a long time and I served half a dozen 3.2 Mondials and they were all over the map. The good ones were great (and not much to choose between the two in performance or reliability) and the neglected cars (usually older) were money pits.

Is there a $10K difference? Depends completely on the condition of the car. It's all based (or should be) on condition...

30 hp (270 over 240) for $10K is not so bad, all things considered. Many of us probably spent as much for less gain! :)

When I bought the Mondial 3.2, I test drove a QV the same day and the 3.2 is, in my opinion, a better car. Plus some of them might have ABS.
