I was fortunate to have all 3 versions in my posession for a comparison. Old to new is left to right. The oldest being the lightest shade of yellow... Almost neon yellow, with the newest being fairly orange... More orange than what my Iphone 6 can capture.

The oldest version matches the 355's front hood emblem best. If I went with a newer style, which i don't think is nearly as nice and also looks inexpensively made (does not have clear plastic protector), i would pick the one in the middle. I tried the newest set, which is the most orange, on my car and I feel it is too orange for our cars.

If you have Yoshi shields, they will match the set in the middle best. I have the lightest/yellowist version of the Yoshi shields on my 355 (there were 2 versions). The yoshi shields are noticeably more orange than the front hood emblem... Even their yellowist version.

I replaced my Gen 1 versions last fall. What a difference.

Interesting to see all versions in a row. Thanks for that. :)

Gen 1 originals are the only centre caps for the 355. The newer ones don't match the car at all IMO. As long as the originals are in great condition and not cracked that's the way to go.

+1. I agree. On my car I have 3 good ones and 1 slightly cracked. If anyone has "1" good one (uncracked), i would like to buy it.

If that is the 2nd generation (the ones in the middle), i actually need one to complete a set as I only have 3 :). Hopefully, it's more yellow than orange

Did mine as soon as I got the car to the mechanic after purchase early this year (he took the wheels off to change so I could keep the originals as opposed to me drilling a hole to remove them).

The color of the originals look pretty bad to me- not sure if they fade, but the newer generation (either the 2nd or 3rd) look way better than the original to me. I updated to the newer generation center caps on my prior 360, and when I got my 355 they really bothered me as I got used to the newer crisper look. My 355 is yellow, with yellow i-ventura shields and the updated center caps- if the yellows of those three items are slightly off I never really noticed/it doesn't bother me- the wheels look better with these caps, and the yellow hue doesn't need to match in my opinion.

Ken another option that might work are the centre caps with part number 154794.

On Eurospares website they are listed in diagram as number 11:

    http://www.eurospares.co.uk/userImages/007/Large/007_047.gif

My 95 GTS has these centre caps fitted with a circlip on the tail end to secure. I ordered a new set from Super Performance in the UK as a spare set, and I have not got around to replacing as yet.

I did not realise there was a difference and thought I had the slimmer pop in type with rubber ring, but upon inspection they are the secured diferrently. These longer style versions will require the gasket, washer and seeger ring to complete the set. Maybe enquire with Eurospares on fitment for your model year.

Here is the link for the caps: Wheels & Tyres for Ferrari 355 - Superformance

Attached are some pictures of the two different caps I have (smaller pop in version from my 360), both are the original yellow and IMO suits the 355.

If 794 works, that would be a great option if they are still readily available. Now we just need someone to check :).
