3 problems on my 85 Mondial, need some help

Hi,

My 1985 Mondial QV has 3 problems that I could use some help on.

1) The window remote controller isn't working. I hear relays engaging but the mirrors
don't move.

2) I found a wire that goes somewhere near the speedo. The wire is yellow with a red stripe.
Can anyone tell me the easiest way to pull the dash apart so I can go looking for it's termination? Shouldn't be too hard to find it's got a spade connector on it.

3) How can you tell the number of the key blank you need to duplicate a key? I have only
1 door key and I'd like to get a second one made but I don';t know what key blank I should be looking for.

Thanks for the lead.... but any good locksmith has left California.. The Golden state is quickly becoming the bankrupt state.
However I don't need the key anymore unless the battery dies in the caar. I just finished installing a new key less entry system
