well, i didn't really do any of those. But I did feel a bit teary eyed when the credits roled in the end, and actually rewound it a few things to take in every missed word.
I literally applauded at the end. And I was sitting on my couch alone......
That's how much I've been yearning and missing more info on the GTO.
They have photos of just about everything. Have you seen the open door markers? the ferrari GTO label on the door speaker cover? I thought the red/black interior was leather. Its a fabric material, like a early 360CS interior.
Only thing I was dissapointed in was the stock exhaust. Sounded good, but it really needs no cats, or a tubi, or something to make it really scream.
The GTO is a proper race car and deserves to spit fire out the exhaust with the best of them and be heard.

They had one of the old (1980s) f-racers. Michele something or other, said the gto was first car he saw assembled. has owned his for 10 years. it has gold colored wheels. He goes over how it is exact same chassis as f40, suspension was only modified for the wider tires and is a little stiffer, how close the f40 is to the gto.

Fantastic video, it was a little slow to start because of the very un-raunchy exhaust while they were putting around. Wasn't sure if they were really running it up to redline or not in the video.
    Those turbos are fantastic mufflers.

I would love to share this video with the world.
Anyone in bay area willing and able to rip a VHS? I am aware of copyright and whatnot, but its a more than 10 year old video, its VHS (a dying breed), and its VERY rare to find real honest material of the 288 GTO.
I would encourage you to buy this anyways, but once again. Its a damned VHS.

I love this car and want to share it with everyone else with a passion for the best ferrari ever built.

    Sincerely,
    Ben Martin

    Ben,

I have a tubistyle exhaust on my GTO. Sounds wonderful. I drive it all the time. To work, to play and at the track. Great car. The folks in their 360s, 355s, 550s, etc. get a real surprise when a 20 year old car comes by them. While I use the stock brake system, except for better pads for the track, the GTO could use better brake cooling. Even with the small calipers and pads (same as the Ferrari Daytona and Boxers to give you an idea how far back this goes), the car stops great for street use because it's so darn light. Lighter than my F40 even.

    Steve

In my opinion, there has never been a more beautiful creation than the 288 GTO. When you get to that level of beauty, there can only be equals from different eras (such as the 250 GTO), but none greater.

I think I've seen that VHS video. It's about a GTO that's driven slowly around some industrial building/refinery sort of and commentary by Michele Alboreto, ex Ferrari F1 driver and sadly has passed away. It also has the GTO driven around some sinous roads, with foliages/trees in the background. Just normal driving, not spirited ones. If that's the one I think I have it stashed somewhere in my folks' home in Malaysia. I think I bought it way back in early 90s in the UK..
