My car just hit the big 30k today. It didn't melt or fall apart, it still runs great. It's been a lot of fun along the way. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a '07 F430 that I purchased last June with 8k. It now has 11K on it and frankly, it is crazy to buy a car for a very high price and to be afraid of putting on 5k or so per year. People should wake up and realize these cars are very well built, well maintained and letting them sit in the garage is crazy. 30K on a car that is at least 8 years old should be considered a premium low mileage car. Congratulations and keep enjoying it.
That is why I bought one with almost 20k on it. I plan to drive it and didn't want to pay a premium for a low mile car that may also need work because of its low mileage.
Now it's worthless with that many miles, I'll take it off your hands for a paltry sum. Glad to see you're enjoying such a beautiful car.
I bought mine (01 360 Spider) with 6500 miles on it, already 7200 5 weeks in and will keep going up... I bought it to drive not to look at!
That's the spirit Derek. They were made for it after all. Mine has done 7000k's (4000 miles) in the first year and a bit I have owned it. What's the point otherwise.
Obviously it is no longer viable as a means of transportation so I'll just take it off your hands for $1,000 and a coupon to Outback Steakhouse. Just trying to help out.
When i bought my 360 in 2008 it had 6000 miles on it. When I sold it in 2010 it had over 30k miles. Drive it hard and often.
I should hit that milestone some time this year. Any offers to take it off my hands will be considered. Alan
Secondsole, Nothing out of the ordinary so far. I did have a trans problem when I first purchased it. My car would fall out of gear at a light and wouldn't shift into the next gear occasionally. It turned out that it needed a new E differential solenoid. It took the dealer four attempts on the install to get it right. I'm not sure if the parts were defective or the install was the issue. Anyway, it's going on two years and no more issues. I just had the car serviced late last year and all was well. Just routine maintenance. Thanks for all posts. It's a big number in a Ferrari...
Since it is now totally unsalable, just drive it until the wheels fall off. No more depreciation concerns! Dave
Congratulations!!! Enjoy while you can. That is what the car was manufactured to do...make you smile while driving!!!
Lovely 30,000 miles is nothing ! keep driving i am at 68,400 miles on my 2002 red 360 Spider ! I refer you to my old post... see the pics inside : http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/309305-celebrating-50k-today-who-said-ferrari-gets-old.html Will post again as soon as i hit the 70 milestone! Life is short Car runs wonderfully... people still thinks it is this year's model
General Jack, We should do a cruise some weekend. I would like to see the twin. It would be nice to meet up. John
Elmani, It looks like you're enjoying your car too. I'll have to do another 40k just to catch up with you.
