Looking for possible difference in performance in swapping the original mechanical fuel injection to EFI on 2v 308's. Thx. Trav

Full Chasis tuned with no other mods maybe 10-15 hp and that is with a system that drives the ignition system as well. The real benefit of switching to EFI is the adjustable tuning that allows things like the ability to use hotter cams, multiple t-body manifolds and specific fuels but any change will require retuning.

Yeah I would say at least 10-15bhp at the wheels. Those 2vi motors weren't given much in the way of ignition timing with the US spec ignition boxes meaning there is a nice power bump there alone, let alone the substantially better engine breathing and fuel control with EFI. I want to say Nick did this to a 2vi engine a couple years ago and if I removed right it made almost 200bhp at the wheels. For comparison, 2vi engines make maybe 180-185bhp at the wheels on a good day.

Didn't that pizza guy do something like that? I don't know if he ever got it going. I haven't seen his thread.
