Hey all; My '82 GTSi has been idling a little lower than usual lately and will actually die when sitting at a stoplight hot. So I need to bump it up just a hair. Can anyone shed some light on where (if any) there is an idle speed screw? Also I assume you set it with the engine idling and fully warmed up? Cheers; Aaron '82 GTSi '83 400iA
Turn counter clock wise the big screw to the right of the throttle body. It's best to get a calibrator and measure the distance it is out. Take the screw out and cleans it That is way your idle is dropping. You should just clean the whole thing with carb cleaner, I have to clean mine every now and again. Kelly
