my heater valve is leaking when the heater / defroster is switched on . Can this valve be replaced / repaired how difficult is it to remove , repair and how can I source a new or used one , Thanks Elliot [email protected] or 516 528 5010
Unfortunately, the QV valves have a 7mm stem diameter, not 8mm (yet have the same 10.8mm OD guide, and I don't see that combination on that page).
Got a new starter for my 328 at NAPA. It's a Bosch unit, part number SR488X, $385.02. Absolutely identical to the original, right down to the stampings. It also fits the Testarossa. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I recently replaced the auxiliary air valve (AAV) on my 328 due to horrific cold start idling. At the same time I found and ordered a new frequency valve protection relay from Pelican Parts ($91.00) as part of preventative maintenance. Relay OEM part number 92861512400 Relay Cross reference part # 92861512402
Do you or anyone know if this is the same starter for a 78 carb car? Looking at the usual supects it appears a NOS one would be bewteen $1,700 to $1,800!! I think I'm having issues with mine. My first try is going to be taking it to a local electrical repair shop, starters, alternators is all they do. I'm hoping they can rebuild it for me. If not did you get a part number for this one from NAPA?
FYI to all Ordered a set of the Strong Arm 4760 from Rock Auto for around $30 They fit the brackets, but did not have enough strength to hold up the deck lid. Any ideas?
These struts are for a 1886 to 1998 Saab 9000 hood. If you have them look under the Saab they will find them, part number C4760. But do they work?
What are you trying to fit them to, 308GT4, 308, 328? I was thinking of getting a pair for my 328. I know as the numbers get higher the struts get longer. Maybe a 4761? The parts store should be able to assist you.
If you're looking for struts for a 308 GTS QV, etc., get the Stabilus/Sachs struts from RockAuto.com (part SACHS #SG237001). Just put a new pair on and they're great. I did install both. They don't slam the lid up, and they hold it perfectly.
I'm no cheapskate, nothing but genuine Ferrari parts go on my imaginary 308! Hehehehehe Seriously, before I paid $350 for an oil sending unit I'd retap the hole if possible.
Great quality foam for closing in the radiator bay can be had from Grainger. Their item number is 5GCU7. They also carry the 3M spray adhesive. As a side note....should you need engine bolts, Fastenal has pretty much anything metric. **If you pick up the foam at the Charlotte NC shop, stop across the street at KT's cart in the Little Hardware parking lot best grilled Brats and Italian Sausages in town.
Internet source for QV water pump and alternator belts (Gates 7M630 and 7M750): http://www.royalsupply.com/ **Minimum order of three each
Does someone have or know where i can find a Bosch parts list with reference to the parts from the Ferrari cars ? thanks in advance Ivo
For 308gt4, searched through the boxes at my local autozone and the following looks like a perfect match for the Donut gasket between headers and muffler. Duralast by fel-pro - #60985 - $2
The AC blower motor might not work as expected. If turning the knob only slightly increases the blower speed and at the end, the blower motor suddenly runs at maximum speed, the AC blower motor transistor could be faulty. A replacement transistor for the BDY29 is the 2N5886. Datasheets are readily available on the internet, but the picture below should have all references needed to successfully replace one transistor against the other without mixing up the leads. The pinout is exactly the same ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like the oil Temp Sending unit is going bad, there is a steady drip once the car has come up to Normal opperating temp, this Morning i went under the car checked all oil pan nuts, all snug, slight weeping, next project Oil Pan gasket. The leak on the Temp Sender looks to be where the wire connects to the sender.Part#107576,Anyone have a cross reference to that Number?
Ivo Two places: On Bosch's website they have a vehicle part locator: http://www.boschautoparts.com/vehiclepartfinder/pages/vehiclepartfinder.aspx There is also a PDF of a Bosch Applications catalog on the FerrariCdyn website (about half way down the page) http://ferrari.cdyn.com/
