The best value IMO are the Hill Enigineering wheel bolts. If you are in the US, Ricambi America sells them: https://www.ricambiamerica.com/slwb01-wheel-bolt.html If located elsewhere, you may need to contact Hill Engineering directly (although I don't know if Ricambi America ships to outside the US or not): https://www.hillengineering.co.uk
@Jack-the-lad We ship worldwide by FedEx. For the wheelbolts, there is a drop-down selection at the bottom of our product page where you can chose which size bolts are required. In your situation, the "GT4" would be used: Image Unavailable, Please Login https://www.ricambiamerica.com/slwb01-wheel-bolt.html
My driver seat adjuster was damaged and I read elsewhere that 308 seat rails and sliders are from a Fiat 124 Spider. I purchased one from Midwest Bayless pn 4221988-OE and can confirm that they are identical to those on the 308, BUT the sliders on the 308 have an additional tab welded on making them somewhat Ferrari-specific. You could easily add the piece of metal but it will be some fabrication effort. I was instead able to use the Fiat rail as a reference and repaired and reinstalled my Ferrari rail. I am going to save the Fiat rail on my shelf and will weld tabs on to it and use it if I have any more trouble with the Ferrari rail in the future. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, it is threaded, and it lines up with another tab on the bottom of the seat. The rails are mounted to the seats on the front of the seats by these tabs. On the rear part of the seats the standard Fiat mounting hole is used
Following up a bit more, it turns out I actually took a picture of how it is mounted to the seat as well. Here you can see the tab on the rail aligned to the tab on the seat with the mounting bolt loosened. You can also see how bent out of alignment my seat rail was, that bar should be well below the bolt. Someone must have really been pissed at that seat! Image Unavailable, Please Login
In case anyone is looking for a generic seal/weatherstrip for the rear cargo area on the 308/328, I can confirm this one is a match and fits well: Vertical Bulb Rubber Seal | Bulb Diameter: 0.51 inch (13mm), Grip Range: 0.039 to 0.12 inch (1-3mm) Amazon also sells it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0191KFEIW It's about $1.50/foot depending on the length roll purchased. Looks like the same seal shape/profile is also used around the front spare tire well, however the original front seal on my 328 has some glued/fused joints in the lower corners, so a generic replacement from a bulk roll would need some glue tweaks to be a perfect match (probably not super important).
Thanks for this. Really appreciate this. Can i safely assume that this is for a 308GT4? Cheers, Mohan
Thermocouples for the "Slow Down" light system are available from Blaze Technical Services as Part Number 071223KU-154. These have a 154 inch lead which is the same length as the factory thermocouples. This configuration is not listed on their website so you have to phone or email them to order them.
Those references are great work. Appreciate that thanks. I have a parts catalog US version 1978 GTS GTB if anyone needs a photo of a part. I'm sure others my have this ferrari dealers shop manual. I attach a photo of cover and a page. New trying to load a photo lol.
Does anyone have a cross-reference to the toggle switches for the fan, rear defrost, hazard, and wipe speed for an 84 QV?
I purchased the fan toggle switch from this site. It is a perfect match. I carefully cut off the plastic tab, and the proper mouse ear tab slid right on. I don't know if the other two-way and three-way switches shown will work for our cars. They are all very inexpensive. The fan switch was about $12, part # SPB200. They are excellent quality and stamped Lucas; however, it's below the exposed switch. https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/c/lucas-toggle-switches I have bought the ones from Superformance in the past. They are junk and fall apart.
