I ordered one, close but not quite right. It is electrically correct. But it's a little too long, a little too deep and a little too narrow. I took the side clips off of it (read: broke them off) and crammed it into the hole in my door panel. Functions fine.

don't bother with the facet pump...just rebuild your corona pump with a new top from superperformance...never had much luck with the facet pumps.

Say... my post must have been one of them lost in the recent down time.

Volvo shims work, too. At least they do for 2V cars.

    Volvo 240/360/740.

    Just verified empirically :).

I just replaced the two coolant hoses that come off of the heads and go to the T that feeds the water pump on GT4, I think part #115247. It is a simple 45* bend, going price seems to be $80 each. I had the local auto parts guy look at his stock of hoses until he found a match. Goodyear 61068 has the right bend with the right diameter. I don't know what car it is made for, buy Goodyear says it is metric. I had to cut about an inch from one end and all the rest of the hose from the other end, but it worked perfectly. If my local auto parts store had it in stock probably when hose blows on you in some remote location, your chances are good someone will have it. Next time I might go with the Samco silicone hoses, they have a 1 3/16 hose with a 45* bend for about $25 each, but I couldn't find stock in the USA, shipping from UK is about 6 weeks to the dist and then some time to your door.

If your cylinders can be cleaned up with a hone, it may be cheaper to have custom Venolia pistons made to fit your existing bore. (323)636-9329. You can also raise the compression ratio if you wish.

While having my radiator recored, I wanted to go to a "colder" switch so that the fans would come on earlier and run for longer if stopped in traffic.

    NAPA FS-193 Switch: On: 82 degrees C / Off: 68 degrees C

This switch originally fitted to early 1980 Peugeot. Less than $25.00 USD. Perfect fit, completely interchangeable in every aspect.

For comparison: OEM Veglia switch: On: 85 degrees C / Off: 76 degrees C

Anybody what gas cap can fit on a Mondial? I lost mine, forgot it at a gas station and when I came back it was gone. Anyway, then only one I found is the 89$ one on ebay. Anything else can fit?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

This part number is invalid at Pep Boys. So I went there and looked for a suitable replacement, but was unable to find one. Does anyone have another reference for this part, either at Pep Boys or anywhere else?

    Thanks.

Posts #62 through #65 in this same thread don't talk about gas caps at all, but thanks for the info about FIAT screw-on caps.

hmmm that was the part number on the strut, not the SKU Pep Boys uses. ill see if the number works with NAPA, but i put those on 3 of the later 308s ( mine and my friends with later cars). 76-77 use a prop rod.

We already have posted that the Bosch O2 sensor is #13009, which you can buy for around $130 (www.autopartswarehouse.com) if you shop around... it's common to a 1989 SAAB 9000 16-valve (easiest way to search). But you can get the same Bosch 3-wire O2 sensor portion and just solder it into your existing O2 sensor's pigtail wire-loom (keeping your stock connectors) for around $50! Just buy one of these 3-wire Bosch numbers -- they have the same specs, just different connectors:

    13953 (0 258 003 953) 1990 Ford Mustang GT 5.0, $53
    13942 (0 258 003 942) 1990 Ford Taurus 3.0 $42

I may have a cross-reference for this strut to a Stabilus part number SG237001 from Pep Boys - at $57.97 each. TRutlands sells a pair for $99. Any better pricing anywhere? Anyone?

Not a huge difference, but www.rockauto.com has Stabilus SG237001 for $48.79 each.
