Just in case anyone else had the same problem I did: The little valves inside of your A/C system inside the bleed/fill/check ports are called "AIR COND VALVE CORES" and are available from Ferrari UK under part number MC3996/1. They are about a buck each USD (.68 british pound sterling). This part does not show up on the online catalog. Now I just have to figure out what tool to use to get them in there....looks like Mr long tipped needle nose plier is getting a workout this weekend.
No, did not know he carried that detailed a line of parts. I assume you know he has them. If I pop any seals when I charge the system I may be calling him.
These are standard tire valve inserts. Buy them at Walmart for a 50 cents a pair. You ues a tire valve removal tool to get them out and screw them in. Coupla bucks for this tool , same store.
Discovered that today...was not absolutely sure if it was the same fit. I already had one of those but thought the socket hole looked wrong (looked too shallow). It wasn't. Thanks though...I forgot to post this myself.
Have not physically tried to install yet, but NAPA #209578 cores ($0.79/each) match what was removed from the lines in my 328. Apologize for lack of picture - digital camera in terminal stages. Carl
Ohhh now that hurts...Napa is right down the street. They did not have a cross reference when I went in.
Hi Mike, Don't know for certain if these work, but if you'd like will mail you a set. [email protected]
