An Integrated Circuit intercepts impulse sensor pulses, applies a correction factor, and regenerates them for the speedometer. The operator calculates and inputs the correction percentage which is retained by eerom internally with power off.

The installation how-to is in the FChat Technical forum but I ran out of edit time before I could add everything I wanted to...such as the car model it was used on (1980 308). And perhaps I tried to say too much in my exuberance that my speedometer is now accurate.

The correction number, tens, ones, tenths, is perhaps greater than need be, as I find the GPS being the limiting factor. Another feature of the device is to store and read back the maximum speed which you just drove. The IC keeps the maximum speed in it's memory and it can be read out...press a button with the car stopped, and the speedometer reads the max speed for 5 seconds.

Anyone contacting 12oclock.com to order a DRD-3M unit ...be sure to mention Ferrari...i.e. you will need the Ferrari Buffer, FBUF, the adapter which electrically matches their unit to the voltages of the 308.
