308 Black Vinyl Cover in Trunk? What is it?

So my 1982 308 GTSi came with this black vinyl cover in the trunk compartment and I have no idea what it goes to. At first I thought it was a cover for the hard top, but it’s not a bag (just a cover) and it has snaps on it I can’t figure out where they’d mount to. I then wondered if it was a errant part left behind by the previous owner that didn’t go to the Ferrari at all, but I noticed the underside material matches the same pattern as the tool cover compartment. Any idea what this goes to?! Also, my car does not have a bag for the top. Should there be one? If so, any idea where I can get one? Thanks all.
