    As I release break, before fully retracting the pedal makes a click. Is this normal (is it brake light switch?)

    Sounds like something mechanical with the lever which pushes on the master cylinder. You can remove the top hatch/access panel through the front hood and watch the actuation to see if the issue is in there. That's my best guess anyway

    There is a brake light switch right there so it might be that. But there is also a whole bunch of linkages and such right there and I'd put my money on some of that.

    Get your head down in the foot well and press the brake with your hand. You will probably be able to tell if it is the switch.
