    Does anyone know if the front and rear bumper shocks are identical on a '78 GTS?

    You're in luck. According to TAV109 of the '78 FPC it takes Qty 4 of #40283202 Assorbitore di energia

    Call me or come over. I just did my bumper shocks, on mine the rears were the same but the mounting holes were alignend at 180 degrees difference.
