    Hi there,

Does anybody know where the switch for the foglights would have gone on a 1979 car if they were factory-fitted as an option.

    Pictures would be great!

    Best wishes

    Steven

    Hi Steven,

not sure about the carb version but on my Euro 308 QV, the fog light switch (fog light in the back is mandatory in Belgium) is located next to the handbrake handle, see picture attached.

    Cheers,
    Frank

    Hi Frank,

Thanks lots for your message and photo. It looks really nice like that. Do your front and back fog lights come on together?

I'm sort of thinking about putting it in the space to the right of the aerial switch, in the gap between the other four. That would make taking the cover off a little easier because all the wires will be attached to the switch panel.

I've never seen a carb version with fog lights from new so it's a bit of a mystery to me where it should actually go I'm afraid!

    Hi Steven,

There is only a rear fog light on my car. I don't think any 308 series had front fog lights. The 308 QV models had 'overtaking flash ' lights, which only come on if you pull the lights handle.

It makes sense from an optical perspective to put the switch between the other toggle switches, but the 'original factory' location is next to the handbrake.

I attached a picture also of the rear side view so you can see where foglight is attached.

    Regards,
    Frank

    Frank,

Lovely picture! I'll post some of mine once I get it done.

I'm hoping to fit front and back foglights eventually.

    best wishes

The BB512i has two rear fog lights and from overtake-flash lights.
