308 Carb Owners - Air Filters

I'm getting a Baldwin Air Filter for my '77 308 from White Tuker out on N.Eldridge and 290 area (www.whitetuker.com). It's part # PA2094. They order 6 at a time but will sell just one. $29.95+tax.

If anyone else wants one, PM me and I'll pick one up for you. They'll be here in about a week. Or, I'll just update this thread and you can get it yourself.

I read a lot of info. on the 308's in the archives and the Baldwin seems to be the filter of choice. The consensus seemed to be that the K&N let in to much crap and the HP gain was suspect (confirmed by a Forza article) while the Balwin seemed to be a little more robust in filtering ability.

 

Count me in buddy for two...can't remember the last time I looked at either car!

Do they handle the oil filters also????

Don't know about the oil filters. I'll call and ask.

 

I called. They're going to get me 3-air filters (one for me and two for you) and they have 10 of the B253 oil filters in stock. They are going to hold 3 of them for me and I'll pick them up next week when I get the air filters.

FYI to others. They only ordered THREE of the air filters. I mis-understood and they broke up the package of 6 since it is a special order part. If you want one, you'll have to call and order it for yourself. But the price sure seemed reasonable compared to others I've seen.

She's gonna be busy imitating a Teamster...Sadly none of her brothers who actually OWN big rigs could break free to help her get the lad to school.

She fits a trip in to see her Mom in Kansas, and of course she had some Orientation Meetings to attend at Capitol as well. It's been wierd as he got ready to leave....she accused ME of strange "distant" behavior...LOL! I've been strange all along!

And now back to our discussion of air filters, driving around Houston...and HOT chicks!

There are two good shows she's gonna miss..... but the 'eyes' are everywhere!
