    Hi all,

was looking at different 308 carbu versions for sale recently and noticed that some engines had an 'extra' cover/cap on the engine cam, sort of like a twist cover to add in oil (not sure what the exact English word for it is..), while others did not...

Is there a difference between build years and/or regions (US-EU) which can explain this ?

If already discussed, please provide the link :)

I have attached a picture of an engine bay which has the cover (non original with prancing horse, but makes it clear).

    Best regards,
    Frank
