    Are 78 308 Catalytic converters by any chance the same as on for example a VW Bus; this can readily be added to the dummest questions asked but I would like to know since they look extremely similar.

    Never heard of anything about a VW bus; many people go with a high performance generic replacement, I think they have the flanges cut off their old ones or just get new ones put on.

    Just don't pop the cats, I did this and it caused an awful sounding system, it did increase my horses though. The sound was hollow and it backfired when downshifting, definate no no. Get test pipes or high flow for the best results.

    78 308 cats are propriatary but can be recored at a reasonable price if necessary.
