Need to replace the clutch in a 308. New to Ferrari need some suggestions on where to get the best prices. Mike
Give Daniel at Ricambi America a call. He lists a disk, pressure plate, and thrust bearing kit on his site for $480. He also lists just the disk for the 308QV for $375; however, you might want to confirm that it fits other 308 models as well since I thought the clutch was the same in the entire series. http://www.ricambiamerica.com/
The clutch disc, PP, & throwout bearing are the same for all 3x8s. You can often find the PP & disc for sale on eBAY. For the throwout bearing you usually have to go to a ferrari parts supplier. There are quite a few reputable suppliers out there. See: Where can I find parts for my Classic Ferrari? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28256 In additional to good tips about specific parts, there's Spasso's post with a long list of suppliers & their links. It pays to shop around, Lately Dennis McCann has the most competetive prices: http://www.allferrariparts.com/ (Dennis McCann) Dennis hasn't gone up as fast as some of the other places did when the Euro skyrocketed against the US $$. Not sure why his prices have stayed down. I bought a PP & disc on eBAY for $200 about 3 years ago: http://70.85.40.84/~ferrari/discus/messages/256120/305328.html finally got around to installing it last spring, from the wear, I probably could have easily gone another year or 2, but thought I'd felt it slip a couple of times....
