Is there a difference in center consoles between a GTS and a GTB? Does the GTB have a console with the compartment in the back half and would it fit in a GTS?

Sure would be nice to have a place besides the trunk for flashlights, map, owners manual etc

The console is longer than that in the GTS, and includes the "glove compartment" lockable section at the back. This was removed from the GTS model in order to facillitate storage of the roof behind the seats.
    Hope this helps!

I kinda figured that, wonder if it could be cut shorter and still have some compartment space left, and still have a place for the top

The door pockets were bigger on the older cars.......you can carry more stuff in the open top style..

The rear console compartment isn't huge to start with...if you shortened it it'd be the size of a cigarette pack.....

Well, I guess since I don't smoke, I won't do that. Just thought I would ask.

So if I had an owners manual, (maybe for Christmas, I been good!)
besides the pouch on the back of the passengers seat.....where would it go?

And since I don't have the owners manual yet, where are you suppose to put things like regristration, insurance card, mechanics home phone number, etc ?

INsurance card in above the visor.

Mechanic's number in the cell phone, right behind Roll Back Tow truck driver.

Owner's Manual/pouch in floor safe at home (when you get the bill $$$ you'll understand)

CD's jammed in the door, whiskey under the seat, windshield sunshield crammed behind passenger seat.....

    gf onboard in mini skirt

two fire extinguishers in the trunk along with DECENT new tools from Craftsman, Snap ON or Facom.

Set of spare plugs....extra Royal Purple 20-50W, three quarts minimum....

The only thing I ever carried in the console storage was a mini Bible, in case I had to administer or receive Last Rites......it mildewed.....

Ok, I understand most of the list, in particular the G/F in mini skirt, but why spark plugs? The Jack Daniels under the seat should take care of any fouling

No, the carb cars come with 2 Champion plugs, but how can you find WHICH ONE is fouled? Yanking plug wires? No, I don't THINK so...!!

So 8 NGK BP5ES are on hand...this ethanol laden fuel is cleaning 30 years of varnish out of the fuel system, and the results are NOT pretty!

Don't forget to narrow the gap to .028, the Champion gauge is handy for that....

I love the sound of multiple carbs, I just don't want the headache or four of them.

I have a 1963 Avanti that has the exoctic R3 engine, it has one AFB in an enclosure, and I am using factory parts to change that to 2 AFB's with the Paxton supercharger. I figure if it's a tempormental engine you never drive, might as well make it a real PIA

The 68 Shelby has only one carb, and I have considered to the point of buying a 427 side oiler to replace the 428 so that I could have the two carb set-up. Common sense and desire have changed that idea, keep the Shelby stock, and buy a Cobra that need a 427 side oiler!

    Always wanted a V8 in a go-cart

My wife says I can't afford the GF in a mini skirt, and since she has never been wrong before, just ask her, I'll take her word for it

    I'm not real mechanical either!

I found a really good guy, early on in the ownership of the car, but he's since retired....:(

I guess I'll drive it 'till it quits! LOL!

I really think it's a fuel blend problem.....Mercury Outboards at one point advised to replace EVERY line in my 3 carb V6....based upon new pump gas formulas.
