Has anyone ever seen anything like THIS before? http://www.gebrauchtwagen-markt.at/fahrzeug-details/10636
Actually, one lived south of Houston... Martin, Cavallino Motors bought it... There are three or four, IIRC....an acquired taste..
There were several made into full convertibles back in the day by different customizers. None are factory jobs, and the tops look strange when up. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
they look pretty good. i think they would have been pretty popular had they been offered by the factory. a sportier alternative to a mondial cab. john
They are kinda' cool I guess...... but I will never understand why one would try to "improve" something already so beautiful.... it usually turns out worse!
As long as there is a coupe, someone will want to take the roof off. And why not? Here are three: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Discussed some time back http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84656&highlight=308+convertible
that 612 scal cab looks great. maybe it's the angle of the photo, but the car looks well-proportioned and very classy. john
Hmmm... The topless 612 looks GREAT in my opinion. But, respectfully, I think the other two are just plain silly. I mean, seriously, a GTO and an Enzo? These are pure race-cars at heart and, not to mention the fact that (to me at least -- and this is clearly subjective) they look horrible this way, you actually NEED the roof for stability at speed. That's why people who buy cars for the track buy berlinettas, right...? But again, if you can afford to buy an Enzo and cut the top off, I can call you silly until I turn blue in the face, not gonna change the fact that you can (and did) do it, whereas I couldn't (and wouldn't)
the F50 came as a convertible. i agree the GTO looks a bit silly, but a convertible enzo could be cool. just imagine you are driving a 333SP or audi LMP. john
