i just wanted to say thank you to fchat member "Birdman" (Jonathan) for the fuse blocks that i bought from him. my cooling fans are workings as they should, and all the lights on the car are crisp and bright now. when i removed the old right fuse block to install the new one, it was split it two at the headlight low beam fuse! also, the cooling fan fuses were badly melted, as was the a/c fuse on the left block. i am really pleased with how well these worked !

    Hey Michael,
Great news! I'm glad the new fuse blocks cleared up some of your electrical problems. Wow, your old fuseblocks are about the worst I've ever seen! No wonder nothing was working right! Those suckers are totally melted!

    Best,
    Birdman

hee hee ...... do i get a royalty? :) seriously, i wish i had done this as soon as i purchased the car. i also added an extra lighter outlet for the new radar detector (Bel Vector ). i can't stress enough how much brighter all the lights in the car are now, i guess the old blocks had LOTS of resistance.

    Hi All,

I'll build them for whoever wants them on request. I'm getting enough requests for these that I'm keeping all the parts in stock to get me through 4-5 sets without having to order anything. I charge $50 for a set for FChatters. This is really cost plus a little for my time and shipping. I set this price really low because I didn't think I would be making that many, it was just a friendly service for Fchatters. If I keep getting orders, I may up the price a little and consider it a side business....that will make my wife happier about the time I spend on it when I should be doing other things! :)

Anyway, for now the price is $50 a set including all the mounting hardware and piggyback connectors. I do need to know which 308 you have (carb, injected or QV) because the "bus bar" arrangement is different on the left fuseblock for each model. If you want a set, it typically only takes me a couple days to put them together as long as I have parts in stock. Send me a PM.

I have a little website to describe the fuseboxes and how they are installed:

    Best,
    Jonathan

OK everyone, to hopefully keep Rob cool with this operation, I'm going to impliment the following prices for fuseblocks effective immediately (i.e. if you already sent me payment, you are good with the old pricing, otherwise, here is the new pricing).

Fuseblocks are $50 a set for SUBSCRIBED Fchatters.
They are $75 a set for unsubscribed Fchatters.

Shipping is $5.00 anywhere in the USA.

    Best,

    Jonathan

Does anyone know if the 308 and BBi fuse blocks are the same ? I have a burnt Boxer project and if these will work I'll take a set. I'm sure Boxers suffered electric radiator fan circuit meltdown from previous posts.

Can any Boxer owners out there post a pic of a Boxer fuseblock? If they are similar to the 308, I can develop something for the Boxer as well. (Even if they aren't similar I can develop something, but I'm not sure there would be enough interest to bother!)

I soldered the rivets on my Boxer's fuse blocks 2 weeks ago. From the pictures I have seen on F Chat of the 308's fuse blocks; they seem to be the same. My BB512i has a seperate twin fuse block for the electric fuel pumps.
